What a sub-agent is

A sub-agent is a specialised micro-agent with one job: search knowledge, write an AI Form record, look up a product, or run an action in a connected app. The main agent calls the right helper when the conversation needs that action.

Parallel execution

While the visitor is still talking, sub-agents run in parallel and return structured payloads. The main agent then composes a grounded response — no long, blocking tool chains.

Least-privilege by design

Each sub-agent only sees the knowledge, forms, and connected apps you explicitly attach. A product-lookup helper doesn't need Gmail send access and shouldn't get it.

Reuse across agents

The same record-writer or product-lookup helper can serve support and sales agents without rebuilding it. One shared helper, many consumers.

Post-conversation reviewers

A special kind of sub-agent runs after the chat ends. It reads the full transcript, extracts your custom fields, and can save a record or trigger a follow-up without blocking the visitor.
